Christmas in Tarapoto

Our next stop for Christmas celebrations was in Tarapoto.
Merry Christmas from Elder Reber and
Elder Leiva.
Elder Ferreyra and Elder Crump say Feliz Navidad!
Elder Turley is new to the mission.  Elder Tocto is his traiiner.  Merry Christmas!
Elder Brown and Elder Clavijo will be celebrating Christmas in the Moyobamba Zone

Elder Woolstenhulme and Elder Bustos will also be celebrating Christmas in the Moyobamba Zone
Here we are enjoying an evening Christmas devotional together.
Alma 37:6 says that by small and simple things are great things brought to past.

Elder Huaiquimilla and Elder Anderson serve together in Soritor.  They are working in a brand new branch of the church.
Feliz Navidad!

The Christmas Spirit is Christ's Spirit.
True happiness comes only by making others happy.  As we lose our lives    in the service of others we find true meaning and joy in our own lives.
These missionaries love the opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others people.  It truly is "good news".

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE TARAPOTO ZONE

What is the Christmas Spirit, drop the last syllable and it becomes the "Spirit of Christ".
May we always follow His example in our lives.
A beautiful sunset for our flight back to Lima.

  1. My son is going to Peru Lima East mission in March. He is really excited. One question though. I notice you said that all the missionaries had boots. What kind of boots? We were wondering if we should get some waterproof hightop Ecco shoes because we know there are some areas that get a lot of rain, or should we get rubber over shoes. We are sending one light pair of Ecco shoes, but don't know if second pair should be water proof or just another regular pair. Thank you for any help you could give.
